Building Communities to Grow Healthier Babies
Abbott Nutrition was looking to create a sense of community among trade show attendees at their Abbott Nutrition exhibit while educating medical professionals as to the benefits of Abbott’s pediatric care products.
We chose to create a “raison d’etre” within an expansive exhibit whereby doctors, educators and medical professionals literally become part of the “bigger picture.” We then created a mosaic of classic Abbott advertising photos made up of attending community members such as doctors, educators and medical professionals.
Deploying two classic photo booths that go beyond just taking a photo, the Absolute team developed software that placed current photos from the photo booths with existing Abbott archive photos and created amazing 10’ mosaic communities. While each guest received the photos in print with educational materials from Abbott, their photo soon appeared on a massive 10’ video screen, floating softly into a giant mosaic of all the photos taken. The six mosaic subjects included mother’s hands holding tiny baby, and smiling children.
Each mosaic was created from existing stock photos from the Abbott archive, current photo booth shots and a video montage between mosaics. The screen was always active with wondrous photo and video art involving the Abbott brand.
Guests were treated to a turn in the photo booth and given a special educational photo print holder upon their exiting the photo booth. As the guest turned to the giant screen, their picture appeared in large format, paused, reduced in size and gently floated into it’s computer selected mosaic placeholder. The smiles on each guests face in the photos, and while viewing the giant screen were fantastic.
AEE wrapped the photo booths in Abbott branded graphics with a subtle Abbott logo. Dressed in black, the booths matched the exhibit perfectly. Each booth contained interior and exterior lighting to highlight its features.
Onsite staff included the Absolute technician who maintained the booth and the server hidden in the exhibit closet. Abbott staff played the role of booth attendant as to receive face to face time with as many guests as possible.
Abbott was more than just pleased with the results and outcome which garnered a record number of face to face meetings and requested a future date for the Instant Mosaic Photo Booth.
